鍾利恩 Ryan Lee JONES簡介

Ryan Lee Jones is a British dancer and choreographer. Ryan graduated from the London Contemporary Dance school, continuing further movement research at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza ‘Marriema’ 6th year. During his training two of his choreographic works ‘synonymous’ and ‘Margaret and Albert’ were nominated for The David Steele Award.

In his final year, he performed in Lauren Potter’s re-invention of Rosemary Butchers ‘Still-Slow-Divided’ in tribute to her passing in 2016, re-titled ‘Frames for Falling’.

As a freelance performer, Ryan has worked with various dance makers, UK and across Europs such as, Annie Pui Ling Lok, Bradley Smail, Rick Nodine, Erena Reilant, Jose Reches, Fernanda Prata and Director Melly Still.

Ryan’s own work takes influence from contact improvisation, physical theatre and spans comedy. His recent work includes a solo ‘To Contrast the Today’, performed back in March 2020 here in Hong Kong at the Social Room in Central. A duet titled, ‘From Fire’ (which is currently postponed due to the pandemic) a site-specific piece challenging concepts in Greek mythologies of the root’s humanity, director Alison Tan. Ryan is additionally working with Judy Yui as dancer/ model for the HKDI Image Show.
