"Hong Kong Flora" by Michael Wolf
The focus of the German photographer Michael Wolf’s work is life in mega cities. Many of his projects document the architecture and the vernacular culture of metropolises. Wolf photographically mapped the city with ‘corner houses’, ‘industrial’ and ‘architecture of density’ where the urban skyline with neither ground nor sky becomes an imagined, symbolic city and density is pushed to its limits.
Wolf zooms in to details of the city such as with the series ‘Hong Kong back door’, ‘ Small God, Big City’ and his latest books ‘Hong Kong Trilogy’ and ‘Hong Kong Flora’ showing the vernacular side of Hong Kong.
